A new 2-story administrative building was constructed for the sheriff’s office of Richmond County. The new building included space for administration, records bureau, civil division, criminal investigations, and a crime lab with a two-car garage for processing suspect vehicles. The commissioning scope of work included all mechanical and electrical systems of the building. More specifically, the work included all HVAC systems, as well as the domestic water, electrical power, lighting controls, emergency power, generator, and fire alarm systems. Total Systems Commissioning performed both pre-functional and functional commissioning during the construction phase of the project. Commissioning was performed in accordance with LEED 2009 EA Prerequisite 1.
